FirstNet Authority and UCA are sponsoring a FirstNet in Utah Apps Forum Wednesday morning October 16th from 9:30 – 1:00 at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Sign-in is 9:00 – 9:30. Refreshments will be served.

The Apps Forum features a panel discussion by representatives from local Utah public safety agencies sharing their experiences with public safety mobile apps – what works, what doesn’t, and what their agencies need for the future.

Forum attendees will be able to join in the conversation by identifying their agency’s mobile app use and needs. They’ll have the chance to compare these with last year’s survey of over 7,000 first responders nationwide – results provided for the very first time by the nation’s top public safety communications researchers, just for this forum.

As context for this engaging dialogue, FirstNet Authority and AT&T regional representatives will provide an introduction to FirstNet for first-time participants and the latest news about local FirstNet network deployment progress specific to Utah.

A Public Safety Apps Showcase will be held as part of the forum. Attendees can visit with leading mobile app vendors, experience hands-on app demonstrations, and get their questions answered by industry experts. Forum speakers will be present to meet with participants. A full range of public safety apps will be on display – from FirstNet priority uplift and local control to push-to-talk communications and situational awareness; even smartphone body cameras. Information will be provided about free public safety apps.

Who should attend? Utah public safety professionals from all levels and disciplines, law enforcement, fire, emergency medical service, IT/communications, 9-1-1, and emergency management are encouraged to attend.

Seating is limited. Register now for this exciting event.

Please forward this invitation to your agency peers, mutual aid partners, and other Utah public safety stakeholders so they can learn more about public safety mobile apps for Utah.
