The Utah Communications Authority (UCA), in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T), is conducting a statewide Information Sharing Assessment.
UCA has worked closely with DHS S&T to develop an Information Sharing Assessment Tool (ISAT) specifically for Utah public safety.
By taking the ISAT, agency leaders will better understand their current information sharing capabilities and gaps across each lane of the Continuum: Governance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technology, Training and exercises, and Usage. In a single setting the ISAT provides agencies a personalized answer to the question, “What can I do to improve my agency’s operational information sharing?”
Public safety leaders should assign a qualified representative to complete the survey for their agency.
The Utah ISAT can be completed in as little as 15-20 minutes and requires no preparation, just personal knowledge of your agency. A severe weather event is presented as a scenario to make questions easy to answer.
Who should take the survey: All agencies and organizations involved with public safety response in Utah – law enforcement, fire, emergency medical service, 9-1-1, healthcare, utilities/public works, and emergency management – are encouraged to participate.
